Shopify Development

Custom Shopify apps, theme development and modifications, integrations with external systems, consulting on choices and architecture. I work with merchants who have outgrown "app-store solutions" and need work built around how their business actually operates: from apps published on the App Store to order management systems with RFID integration for Shopify Plus stores.

Shopify is a great platform, but every serious merchant eventually hits a limit: the app they need doesn't exist, the closest one doesn't do exactly what they want, or three different apps step on each other over the same piece of the order flow. That's the moment when a custom app, public or private, starts paying for itself.

I've been a Shopify Partner for years and I've built both public apps on the App Store and deeply custom internal systems for Shopify Plus merchants. What matters is knowing both sides well: how Shopify actually works (APIs, webhooks, billing, App Bridge) and how a warehouse, a returns process, a day-to-day operation really works, with its people and its stations.

What I build

01

Private apps and deep integrations

Shopify apps that live only inside your installation, typically connecting Shopify to the rest of your systems: ERPs, warehouse management software, carrier APIs (UPS, DHL, FedEx directly, without aggregators), RFID hardware, B2B pricing engines, internal dashboards. The kind of work you can't buy from the App Store because it's specific to how you operate, and often the difference between a company that scales without breaking and one that ends up fighting its own tools.

02

Order management and operations layer above Shopify

When a merchant outgrows the "Shopify plus a few apps" stage, it's the operation itself that needs custom software. I build the part that sits above: picking stations, RFID readers, multi-carrier label printing, returns management, warehouse dashboards. Real example: a fashion brand that moved over time from a single manual shipping station to six stations with RFID readers, without having to rebuild the system from scratch.

03

Themes, checkout, storefront

Theme sections designed to help conversion, checkout extensibility for Shopify Plus, custom Liquid work, headless storefronts when they actually make sense. I'll also tell you when you don't need any of these things: most merchants get more value from a well-refined standard theme than from a headless rewrite they then can't maintain.

04

Public apps for the Shopify App Store

Full apps you can publish and monetize on the App Store: Polaris UI, Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs, Billing API, webhooks, App Bridge, plus all the adjustments and reviews Shopify requires to reach publication. I handle the whole path: from validating the idea to development, from submission to review, all the way to continuous maintenance and support for the merchants installing it.

The goal is never to pull you away from Shopify. It's to extend Shopify where the platform ends and your operation begins.
